Embrace being imperfect! I think that has been one of the hardest things to do. Not that I am anywhere near perfect, but I think in life it has held me back. I worry so much about having others see my imperfections, that I miss out on things. This year, I've tried to stop worrying so much and enjoy life. Halloween was a perfect example. I stressed and fretted for weeks about how I was going to get to a pumpkin patch, make pumpkin rolls, carve pumpkins, get themed costumes and go trick or treating... I stressed and as of the Saturday before, I had not accomplished any of those things. Going to Lisa's - we picked out random costumes, made halloween cookies, carved pumpkins and had a blast taking the kids out trick or treating on Monday. It all worked out! Loosing the expectation that it all had to be picture perfect and checking the box made a wonderful and relaxing Halloween!
